One of the highlights of this year’s Grand Prix off-track activities will surely be the “Crazy Paradise — Sentiments of Southern Europe” street performances in the St. Lazarus district by talented local artists. An open bar, coffee shop and booths selling attractive handcrafts will also generate an atmosphere of European culture and art — so discover amusing playthings and enjoy Portuguese dance performance at its best over two consecutive weekends this month.

The European-inspired St. Lazarus district is a major tourist attraction in its own right and contains the Old Ladies’ House, two-storey Portuguese buildings enclosing an open courtyard whose rooms are now used for regular exhibitions and art workshops. This is also the site of the popular “Coffee Trip”, held every weekend under the ample shade of an ancient tree.
