The second border crossing checkpoint between Macau Taipa, Cotai Strip and mainland China is expected to reopen on 1 May.

The Hengqin Port has undergone reconstruction after “structural problems” were found.

The new facility will be capable of 70,000 visitors and 10,000 vehicles per day, with 18 lines of passport checks at each hall.

A total of RMB54.47 million had been invested in this project, according to the Zhuhai correspondent of Jornal Va Kio.
