Well done Rodolfo you’ve done it again!!! We got a second this time and we wish you the best of luck in the last race at Truxton and hope for a first place for Macau!

For the third time this season Macau’s flag was seen in the British Formula 3 International Series’ podium. Rodolfo Avila took a second and a fifth place in the penultimate round of the National Class at Silverstone, England.
Although it was not an easy weekend for the Performance Racing Macau SAR driver, Avila guaranteed the fourth place in the National Class with two races remaining. The #38 Dallara F304-Mügen Honda qualified for the two races of the weekend on fifth and fourth.
In the Race 1, Macanese motorsport biggest hope had plenty of troubles to get the maximum of the car and could only manage to finish fifth. “It was a frustrating race. The car wasn’t perfect and I had a lot of oversteer. I was pushing hard but I lost several time in the Bridge’s zone and inexplicable I couldn’t get the pace of my opponents during the 30 minutes”, explained the driver supported by Macau Government, Rio Casino, Hotel Fortuna, Macau-Slot.com, BNU, Gain Well Group, Tong-Lei, CESL-Asia, PAL – Asia Consult, RP Macau, CTM, Tsingtao Beer, Fat Siu Lau Restaurant, PT Asia and Sujika Crafts.
Race 2 saw Avila showing an improved pace on the 2.24 mile International circuit and “to finish first, first you have to finish”. Avila did it. In the end he scored a delightful second place. “It was an OK race for me and I’m quite happy to grace the podium again. I have to confess I was lucky. I kept struggling with my car but I managed to finish and that is important in this level. I lost many good results this season because of my bad luck but this time my bad luck went to my opponents”, said Avila who never gave up and achieved his best lap with only 4 minutes to go.
Rodolfo Avila races in the final round of the season next weekend at Thruxton circuit in Hampshire, England. Thruxton is known as the UK’s fastest circuit and Macanese driver knows the track from a test day in August.
