Shenzhen Airlines resumes Macau-Wuxi flights again. The flights were suspended during the Beijing Olympic Games period due to a temporary restriction of international flights at Wuxi Airport, which is now fully operational again.
In a statement released by Macau International Airport, currently Shenzhen Airlines offers a flight service that goes from Macao to Wuxi on a daily basis.
According to the travel agencies which often used the airline have been carrying on a series of promotion activities in Macau and East China, “and the outcome is remarkable,” the statement said. “After the resumption of the route, so far, passengers’ response, especially travel tourists, are very good,” the statement added.
In August, Air Macau also resumed flights linking Macau and Chengdu, providing flights twice a week.
In addition, in order to better meet the passengers’ needs, East Star Airlines will change the departure time of its winter schedule daily flight from Macau to Wuha.
“Though suffering from the financial tsunami, high oil prices, tightening policy of FIT [facilitated individual travel], cross-strait direct flights, and other unfavorable factors. Macau’s aviation industry generally believes that as long as the trend of developing tourism in Macau’s remains unchanged, the prospects for the aviation industry will still be bright.
